Hi, I’m Dr. Loïse…

I grew up in Switzerland (image above), where I competed nationally in rhythmic gymnastics—a discipline that instilled in me a love for movement and precision. In 2005, I came to Toronto for what I thought would be a one-year adventure to learn English. That year turned into something much more: I discovered salsa dancing, fell in love with movement all over again, and even attended circus school.

My passion for learning led me to pursue a PhD in chemistry, but I continued circus training on the side—until a shoulder injury forced me to pause and rethink my path. During my recovery, I started working out at the gym to rebuild my strength. It was there that I saw a flyer for a canfitpro personal training certification (this one that I now teach). At first, I got certified to help myself, but I quickly realized how much I enjoyed helping others.

Since 2015, I’ve been combining my scientific background with my love for movement as a personal trainer while teaching at the University of Toronto. And in 2023, I decided to go all-in: I now work full-time as a trainer for older adults, focusing on brain fitness and as a canfitpro Pro Trainer, mentoring future fitness professionals and helping them build rewarding careers.

Fitness has been a transformative force in my life, and I’m passionate about sharing that with others—whether it’s helping a client reach their goals or empowering new trainers to succeed.
